Our client, The Wishcamper Companies, is a well-established, privately held Portland, Maine-based investment and development company with a national portfolio spanning affordable housing, real estate, and renewable energy, is seeking a Controller.
Reporting closely to ownership and management, the Conptroller will oversee day-to-day accounting, cash management, financial reporting, reconciliations, tax compliance, and year-end close, while coordinating with banks, investment advisors, CPAs, attorneys, and other professional advisors.
This is a broad and highly visible role for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working across multiple entities and taking ownership of the financial details of a complex organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong general ledger, financial reporting, cash management, Excel, and organizational skills, along with experience coordinating tax and year-end activities with outside accounting professionals. The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and handle confidential financial information with discretion is essential.
